Hotel dei Fiori was built in 1963 in South Milan. Its name comes from Autostrada dei Fiori at the end of which it is located. Its realization was based on the intuition that the Highway was an enormous potential of customers being the only point of connection between Southern Italy and Europe. During a lot of years, from May till October, tourists were the customers of our Hotel, while during the Big April Exhibition regular customers were businessmen. Later, when tangentials roads were built, the planning of Milan changed and there was a growth of a lot of small companies. So the management decided to promote the economic share by developping strategies adressed to the business customers and to pay attention on everything that was happening in Milan.
